With a view to support Hosting Providers and individuals who require the latest cutting edge versions of popular open source applications, an early restricted release is envisaged. Please contact [http://www.planettel.com.sg PlaNetTel], Singapore for the following templates which are available:
* vTigerCRM v5.2.1 Build 2 with fixes from the forums
* MediaWiki v1.16.2 Build 2 with extra extensions
* Joomla v1.6 latest SVN
* FrontAccounting v2.3.2
As several hundred man-hours are spent researching each application and the intricacies of DAB and the ProxMox VE to deliver ready for unfettered use templates, we are eminently suited to address it's issues.
Any requests for upgrade of our older version templates released to a preferred version and recovery of data from such containers where possible can be considered. Knowledge so gained in the assistance process will be minuted in articles here and at [http://www.gnuacademy.org GNUAcademy] if deemed appropriate in the hope it will be useful to the community at large.
Such templates however, will not have encryption or obfuscation of any sort in the build files used so that the hosting providers can use it on their machines without hassles. It is expected that such clients will not share these templates as they will be bundled with their user access details which will be visible in the first boot logs. Each delivery will be a latest compile in DAB.
'''The community view point in this regard is solicited.''' I have not got any feedback on the use of my templates except on 3 occasions in nearly 2 years since I began distributing templates for free. At least one initial version of new applications will still be distributed for free along with the build templates.

Commercial Templates

With a view to support Hosting Providers and individuals who require the latest cutting edge versions of popular open source applications, an early restricted release is envisaged. Please contact PlaNetTel, Singapore for the following templates which are available:

  • vTigerCRM v5.2.1 Build 2 with fixes from the forums
  • MediaWiki v1.16.2 Build 2 with extra extensions
  • Joomla v1.6 latest SVN
  • FrontAccounting v2.3.2

As several hundred man-hours are spent researching each application and the intricacies of DAB and the ProxMox VE to deliver ready for unfettered use templates, we are eminently suited to address it's issues.

Any requests for upgrade of our older version templates released to a preferred version and recovery of data from such containers where possible can be considered. Knowledge so gained in the assistance process will be minuted in articles here and at GNUAcademy if deemed appropriate in the hope it will be useful to the community at large.

The community view point in this regard is solicited. I have not got any feedback on the use of my templates except on 3 occasions in nearly 2 years since I began distributing templates for free. At least one initial version of new applications will still be distributed for free along with the build templates.

Reference Templates

The reference templates culled out from the dab-pve-appliances (42 MB) file is available here (34 KB).

Workarounds

apm-available list of downloadable templates

To enable these latest templates to be shown in the list of Template Downloads in the ProxMox GUI, append the contents of apm-available to /var/lib/pve-manager/apl-available after a pveam update like:

pveam update
cd /var/lib/pve-manager/
wget http://www.sacollege.net/files/appliances/apm-available
cat apm-available >> apl-available

The last command in the above set needs to be performed each day and on each reboot as "Headquarters" will revert to their restricted list on such events.
