mmm, maxmem is already the  "memory" param  , -m qemu command line.

so
balloon : xxxx   -> current memory available to guest vm  


and we can adjust balloon size

0 < balloon < memory     (maybe not 0 to not crash the vm ;)


exemple config : 

memory : 8000 MB
balloon: 2000 MB


we start the vm with 8GB,and just after set balloon to 2GB.
after we can adjust memory, with balloon param, between 0 and 8GB.

if guest don't have balloon driver, it'll take the 8 GB (need to verify).

What do you thing about the following syntax: 

balloon: 4000 

==> use ballon device, set maxmem to 4000MB
