Why do we lost current config ?

can we have something like this

config file
----------
activeconfig: root|snap1|snap2

[root]
mem: 1024

[snap1]
mem: 256
parent : root
[snap2]
mem: 512
parent: snap1

[snap3]
mem:128
parent: snap1


just update the activeconfig when rollbacking ?

yes, you update the current config (on top of the file).
