Yes, that's make sense (they are also a megasas controller coming for kvm 1.2) but 

you can have 7 scsi drive by lsi controller, and >100 disk by virtio-scsi.

I don't know how to mix the 2..

any idea ?

I do not really want to add that. Instead, this is just another scsi controller. 

So I suggest to use the current 'scsi[N]' tags, and simply add a new 'driver' property. 
For example: 

scsi0: file=/a/test/file,driver=[lsi|virtio] 

What do you think?
