Hi, I have updated my spice package to 0.12 stable release

http://odisoweb1.odiso.net/pve-spice.tar.gz

It's building
pve-libspice-server1
pve-libspice-server1-dev packages

Building require some packages from squeeze-backports

libpixman-1-0
libpixman-1-dev

and

libspice-protocol-dev (0.12.1) from sid

I have tried to use the spice html5 client, doesn't work...

spicec client with spice-xpi plugin for firefox/chrome on linux works find.
They are no build for spice-xpi for windows.
Redhat seem to use a activex for internet explorer on windows (but close source)

I have checked the authentification part, it's only use ticket for now.
rhev and ovirt made the authentification through their api, generate a temp ticket, and pass it as argument in the spicec comand line.
The ticket have a timeout define in qmp command expire_password.

About socket, they is only tcp support for now. I have see some guys hacking it to add support for socket (and use socat when the client try to connect).
I don't know if socket is better, as the spice protocol can support seamless live migration. (a qmp command exist to tell to the client the target ip/port to transparent reconnect after live migration).

Maybe can we begin to build qemu-kvm with spice, now that 0.12 stable is out ? It'll be more simple to test/debug it.
