After upgrading to 3.1 the problem has vanished. Eg. pve-manager does
not execute two requests almost simultaneously. I have changed the
algorithm but this did not solve the situation completely.

After doing much thoughts I think the reason to my problem was caused
by using a to old version of pve-manager on the nodes since I for
development purposes had put pve-manager on hold in apt in which case
the manager had skipped the last two updates in pve-3.0.

Can anybody confirm that something has changed in pve-manager the last
two updates in 3.0 which has fixed some problems related to the
interaction with the backend?

I will post a new set of patches later today. I am hoping to get some
feedback because I cannot find any more bugs in the plugin.
