guest config:

address 192.168.1.3
netmask 255.255.255.0 
gateway 192.168.1.1


client 10.0.0.2---->external router(192.168.1.1)--------------proxmox(192.168.1.2)-------------->(192.168.1.3)guest

But for this setup, what is the gateway of the guest ?

host config: 
auto eth0

address 192.168.1.2 
netmask 255.255.255.0 
gateway 192.168.1.1 

guest config: 
iface eth0 inet static 
address 172.16.0.1
netmask 255.255.255.0 
gateway ????????

client 10.0.0.2----------->external router(192.168.1.1)--------------proxmox(192.168.1.2)-------------->(172.16.0.1)guest
                       (with a route 172.16.0.1 gw 192.168.1.2)
