Oracle continues the version numbering in Solaris while progression in 
OSS zfs is named features or feature flags. zfs without activated 
features is identical to zfs version 28 and will be upgradeable to 
Solaris zfs version 34.

The features constitute the OSS implementation of the CSS development 
in Solaris zfs so feature wise they are very close but the 
implementation is completely different and therefore a OSS pool with 
activated features cannot be imported in Solaris zfs and vice verse.
