Yes, I figured that part out (after a lot of try and error, though I 
eventually found that thread).

My concern was actually this part:

That works (the system boots) if I use debian/lenny, but if I use 
ubuntu/intrepid, the VM wont boot, and vzctl enter 101 fails (can't open 
pty). I couldn't find any logs that could point me to what was happening. 
I /guess/ this is an issue with openvz rather than proxmox, but as there is a 
ubuntu base system template, I was hoping someone could tell me what is wrong 
with a plain debootstrap /in ubuntu/ but not in debian.

I guess I'll have to dig around the dab sources to find out.
