Hi everyone

properly connecting external usb hdd usually block VM (w2003) at all
Once (first time) it boots normaly and VM recognizes it properly but the
communication between HD and VM is cca 80-100 times slower than
connecting it natively to the physical machine.
the second boot does not success and VM blocks during early boot process

as soon as I unplug the VM it proceeds with the boot and everything
works in the real time

VMID.conf ->
hostusb: 152d:2329 (after lsusb)

What do I do possibly wrong ? ... or the whole system has not still
been optimized for usb hdd communication with VMs

w2008 still cannot install -> there's been workaround suggested but I
would wait for the update that solves it (hopefully it will be soon :-)

by the way I use two frontend machines (i3, 8GB RAM) and (Q8400, 8GB
RAM) in cluster and one back-end one that server as remote storage
(AMD64, 6GB RAM, FreeNas)
DRBD between two front ends works pretty correct and I use it for shared
VM images repository
FreeNas iscsi works also pretty fine and I use it for iscsi logical
volumes for VMs on the front ends
Live migrations works fine too

The only thing I noticed is : When the VM images are placed om the drbd
shared storage VM do not boot at start-up ?!

Does anybody have such (any) drbd expirience ?

thank you very much in advance and

/srdačan pozdrav / best regards/
