Hi,

I tested several migrations of win2008r2 from vmware to Proxmox ve, using this method, without any problems or BSOD:
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Migration_of_servers_to_Proxmox_VE#Physical_server_to_Proxmox_VE_.28KVM.29_using_Clonezilla_Live_CDs

(Do not forget to remove the vmware tools before you boot up the clonezilla ISO for the migrations)

Hi Br, Martin,

Thanks for the response, do you mean that if i just take a drive backup by clonezillah and restore it on Proxmox and every thing will be done automatically with out BSOD?

Thanks,

Dear All,

I need your help in migrating physical server of Windows 2008 R2 to KVM in Proxmox. i have read the instructions but mergeide.reg<http://www.proxmox.com/downloads/proxmox-ve/misc/59-mergeide> file that is mentioned in the document didn't work with 2008 R2. any advice except repairing and reinstalling the whole server be highly appreciated.

Thank you,

MYK
