[PVE-User] Restoration Question

Hi,

I have a openVZ based container I am trying to restore onto an NFS share over 10GB ethernet and I am running into an issue.

The setup is as follows: The container runs locally on an internal RAID 10 volume and is backed up each night to an internal drive outside of the scope of the RAID 10 volume. I have a 10GB ethernet card connected to an external storage array that I would like to start to use to hose and manage VM's, containers, etc.

I am able to restore a backed up container without issue to the NFS location and I am able to start it without issue. The problem is that when I try to bring up one of the services, in this case BIND, it fails with the following error in the system and daemon logs:

root at dns2:/# /etc/init.d/bind9 start
Starting domain name service...: bind9 failed!

Oct 7 09:30:44 dns2 named[598]: starting BIND 9.7.3 -u bind

Oct 7 09:30:44 dns2 named[598]: found 1 CPU, using 1 worker thread
Oct 7 09:30:44 dns2 named[598]: using up to 4096 sockets

I have removed the existing network interface and re-added it, thinking that might be the issue, but it wasn't.
Has anyone seen this issue and if so is there a quick way around it?

I am able to build new containers to the NFS and it works fine, but any restored containers don't seem to work properly once restored to the external NFS volume, however, they do work fine when restoring back the the internal RAID 10 on the server itself.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
