It's like a raw qemu image, too.

Almost all of what he writes about is how the ploop copy is done.  If the image is on NFS, there's almost nothing to do there - suspend source CT, flush blocks to the (NFS export) ploop image, resume CT on dest node.

Even for a very small RAM CT image, I'm surprised how long it takes to live migrate with NFS storage.
