But I highly recommend to use lzo instead of gz.

You cannot restore these backups on 2.2.

after upgrade proxmox 2.2 to 2.3,

i just want to ask you,.. when i backup a VM for this format :
 [cid:image001.jpg at 01CE32B1.67A7BF50]

why backup result is nameofvzdump.VMA.GZ ???  it is okey? i can still restore with this format ?? thank you a lot.
