I'm well aware, that the PVE-Kernel is not based on the Debian Kernel.
One of the reasons we highly prefer the PVE-Kernel over the
Debian-OpenVZ-Kernel is that - although based on RHEL6.X - it seems to
work very well with Debian based systems with much less bugs. You (the
PVE team) seem to do a decent job in maintaining a well-suited
OpenVZ-Kernel for Debian. 

I hope to make my question more clear: Are there any plans to switch
Proxmox to Debian 7 and thus will you make your kernel fit for Debian 7
in a similar way as you did for Debian 6?
