[PVE-User] pve3rc2: clone (or restore from backup) a vm via cmdline: vma: "got timeout"

Hey there,

I want to clone a vm via cmdline.

In the good_old_days™ this task was easy, taken from the manpage of vzdump:
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Vzdump_manual

Clone an existing container 101 to container 300 using pipes

        # vzdump 101 --stdout|vzrestore - 300

This seems not working any longer in pve3.0rc2:

> # vzdump 101 --dumpdir /tmp --mode stop --stdout | qmrestore --storage ha2 - 102
> restore vma archive: vma extract -v -r /var/tmp/vzdumptmp8967.fifo -
> /var/tmp/vzdumptmp8967
> command 'vma extract -v -r /var/tmp/vzdumptmp8967.fifo -
> /var/tmp/vzdumptmp8967' failed: got timeout

This seems related to this bug:
http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/13770-Restoring-from-backup-results-in-quot-got-timeout-quot

So, my question is how to do this task in pve3?
Anybody knows a workaround to circumvent the vma "got timeout" message?

Thanks,

Lutz Willek

Freundliche Grüße / Best Regards
