Just for the record. Which kind of filesystem do you use on-top of your
LVM? And what mount options do you use?

What kind of disk are you using? SAS, SATA, SSD
What interface on the disk SAS1, SAS2, SATA1, SATA2, SATA3
Is your disks using 512B or 4K per sector?
