[PVE-User] Quick question about vzdump

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone here has modified vzdump at all?

I took a quick peek through the source code. It seems well written. I
want to do a couple things

1) allow compression method to be selectable (bzip/lzma etc)
2) encrypt the backups

I'm currently doing the encryption post tar creation and that's
inefficient.

Do I need to modify the code to do this, or is there some other place
(hook script? environmental options?) to modify the tar command line.
I would like for this to be cleanly integrated, as opposed to hacking it
in for only my use. Is this something folks would be interested in?
