Well, truly there is no "kernel" word in your screenshot. The keyword 
"linux" is used in the Grub's config to specify the kernel command line, 
that's the one you should modify adding init=/bin/bash.

The problem is that there is a lot of reference for the old version of 
Grub, which used keyword "kernel". Googling for "linux lost root 
password grub2" will give you better results.
