ksm run only when are around 80% of memory usage (because it's use cpu)

you can tune this

/etc/ksmtuned.conf

# KSM_THRES_COEF: Decimal percentage of free RAM
# If free memory is less than this percentage KSM will be activated
# KSM_THRES_COEF=20

# KSM_THRES_CONST: Bytes
# If free memory is less than this number KSM will be activated
# KSM_THRES_CONST=2048

Objet: [PVE-User] KSM turning off automagically

Hi (again) all.

I saw a strange behaviour on my proxmox nodes.

KSM was turned off, so I tried to enable it :

# echo 1 > /sys/kernel/mm/ksm/run

after a few seconds, the file is at 0 again. Is there a reason for this
? Any idea what happens ?

regards,

jonathan
