What I am certainly interested in is the sociology of literature. The purpose of the articles and books a have written is to propose a view of the world described in the novel, as a sociological object. I base not only on my own point of view on the novels as the subject of scientific research but I also reach for Lewis A. Coser’s remarks which are are a kind of the guideline for me, how sociologist may do his research on reality presented in the literature. I want to point out that it may be useful to reach for elements of the sociological theories in order to understand better social phenomena and processes portrayed in literature. It may (who knows?) enrich the interpretation of the novel and be also interesting for the science.
