I'd copy all of that off, along with anything else that looks useful.

If you have enough space, I'd just block copy the whole drive with 
something like ddrescue. That way you have absolutely everything you 
might possibly need.

I think that would work. I don't know - I've never run proxmox in a 
cluster, nor have I ever had to restore like that. I have, however, 
created some template systems with a basic disk image and I'll go create 
a VM then swap the disk image that it created for that VM with mine, and 
it seems to work just fine.
